Crazy Old Ladies Quilt

Remember this quilt that I tried making and gave up because I chose the wrong fabrics?  Remind me to NEVER by cheap fabrics again.  So not worth the money.  I still love this pattern and have my eye open for the right fabrics.  I just haven't found anything that I love (and can afford). 

Well, Crazy Old Ladies Quilt have a new pattern that I love (not a huge fan of the fabric choice though). 

Maybe it is just the bird sillouettes that I love so much.  I don't know.  But now I'm keeping my eye out for some cute fabrics for this pattern too.  Sigh

UPDATE:  While looking at fabric this morning, I stumbled across this.  I think it would look nice with either pattern.  What do you think?
