I spent the afternoon making this for Mikey. He loves it. I used a couple of tutorials to come up with this pattern: I used this and this. My machine was acting up, so some of the sewing is less than perfect. I also used all scraps for this project (it was practically free) and machine appliqued. I think I might have to make Abby one too, as they have been fighting over it.

Oh, I love it! I love the colors you used- the deep red. I can't wait to make my own.
I had some gals over at my house today and I showed this to them. One of them asked me if I had used a placemat. No, I didn't, but duh, that sure would be easy! Next time I make one, I want to add handles and make the velcrow so that I only have to fold it in half (as opposed to thirds, which is how it is now).

Hey, just wanted to say thank so much for the quote and your comment - I had published it before I'd read it, so I removed cuz I thought you probably didn't want it out there public with your full name and all.
