Christmas Table Runner

Using appliques to match my Christmas Quilt, I made a table topper for my living room table using left over fabric.  I started last August and finished today!  Progress!

Scripture Case

I made a scripture case for Mike for his birthday.  I used a pair of old pants and some scraps.  The free tutorial can be foun here

It was super easy so I had to make a second one for Abby.

If I ever use this tutorial again, I plan to make the handle longer (maybe add 3 or 4 inches), so that it is a bit easier to slide the scriptures in.

Lily's Verna Quilt

I finally finished Lily's quilt. The top has been finished since before Lily was born, and I never got around to quilting and binding it. It only took 8 months, but it's done.

Another Castle Caddie

These make great birthday presents for my kids' friends, especially when I use scraps/fatquarters from Mom and leftover materials from Abby's castle.

Fail

I wanted to make a club house version of my castle caddy, and while it went together so well in my head, it wasn't until I had it all put together that I realized the fatal mistakes. It all has to do with that roof piece I put on it. It doesn't fold up right, and it also doesn't lay right, so it just looks sloppy. Like the scout club house on Follow Me Boys, that was built together using knots.

Let's not even talk about the ice cream scene because it makes me cry every time.

Anywho, this one was a fail, but I am not that bothered. Failure is a great teacher.
