Finally finished

I finally finished my Christmas table topper that I started before Christmas. I must say, there were a few times where I became discouraged because my lines and seam allowance weren't very straight or consistent. And it was a bit hard twisting the entire thing back and forth while sewing on the leaf shaped pieces. And even when I was all done sewing, I wasn't terribly excited about it. But let me tell you this -- once I washed it and dried it (apparently that is where the magic happens) and the raw edges became slightly frayed, none of the imperfections mattered anymore. I just love how it turned out. I seriously can't stop looking at it. Now I am itching to make another one.

*Al said it didn't necessarily look like a Christmas table topper. Maybe I will leave it out for a while.

Eva Rae Quilt done!!

It's done, and I think it turned out really nice. It's on it's way to baby Eva.

Valentine Bags

I think this is so cute and you know my love for valentine boxes. If the star align just right, maybe I will make some of these for my kiddos this year. Tutorial here.

Claire's library bag

So it took me an obnoxiously long time to get this finished. Having a new born slows me down, since whenever I have the option of free time I choose sleep. But here it is. . .

New Fabric Collections

So now that I'm not looking and have sworn off purchasing any new fabrics until I get all of my old projects finished, I of course found some fabric that I'm absolutely in love with.  Go here.  I love all of the collections (except felicity).

Now to practice some self-control!

Recycled entertainment center

I have stumbled upon several of these lately, and I just love the idea. I found this one at giggleberrycreations.blogspot.com. A play kitchen made out of an old entertainment center:

Doll House

from uklassinus.blogspot.com
Okay, so these doll houses are sooo cool.  I love free tutorials.   Make sure you check out the flickr group of pictures of all the amazing doll houses people have made.

What to do?

So here is Abby's quilt that I'm making. I just don't love it.

Will it look better with the right border?  Or should I just pick it apart and make more of these:

(the yellow bag is 2 sided)

I like the pattern, I just don't love the fabrics I found (at least not together).

Work in Progress

Here is #16's baby quilt. I am still working on it.
It is a Debbie Mumm pattern, but it is a totally different color than the pattern.

Santa Wall Hangings

I guess that from these you can tell that I love cute Santa wall hangings.
The door hanger Santa was given to my daughter by one of her
teachers in YW.

Christmas Table Runner

Here is a table runner that I made quite a few years ago. I was still learning to quilt, so some of the quilting isn't the greatest. But I love the colors and the design.

Brooke's Pillow

This is a pillow that Brooke designed and made for me for Christmas one year.

Christmas Pillows

Here are a couple of Christmas pillows that I did a few years ago. They were designed by Meg Hawkey of Crabapple Hill designs. I love her work, she is really a talented designer.

Christmas Stockings

Thought that I would post a few things that I have made from past Christmases.
