I am not liking the bottom right corner, so I will  probably be unpicking that tonight.

The checkerboard circle will fit onto the center star.

Hunky Dory Quilt

Mom quilted my Hunky Dory Quilt.  She did a fabulous job as always. 

I'm using the scraps to make a pillow.  Here is the applique for the pillow.

It was inspired by this painting Brooke showed me a few years ago. 

Now if I could only learn to paint, I would make some artwork like this painting, from pottery barn.  I also like these fantail prints.

Super Why

Mike wanted to be Super Why for Halloween. If you have no idea who Super Why is (and apparently most people don't), he is a super hero with the power to read on a PBS cartoon. So Mike and I made his costume. He needed the mask, but we just didn't get around to making it (although it still isn't Halloween, so maybe I'll make it on Monday).

Abby is supposed to be Princess Presto from the same cartoon. I cheated on her costume and just purchased a princess dress, then made the cape.  Most people asked her why a princess would wear a cape.  Oh well. 

I just made Lily a tutu.  I guess that makes her a ballerina.
